Rayudu retires from international cricket

Indian middle order batsman Ambati Rayudu has decided to retire from international cricket. According to ESPNCricinfo, Rayudu’s email has been forwarded to the BCCI by Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).

Despite being named one of the five reserves for world cup squad, Rayudu wasn’t chosen even after Vijay Shankar was ruled out of the world cup due to injured toe.

Rayudu played his first ODI against Zimbabwe in 2013. He has represented India in 55 ODIs and scored 1694 runs with an average of 47.05.
