Australia thrashed India by 10 wickets in the first ODI at Mumbai to take a 1-0 lead in Mumbai on Tuesday. Aaron Finch and David Warner scored unbeaten centuries as Australia chased down the target of 256 without losing any wicket.

Earlier the day, Australia won the toss and elected to field first and restricted India to 255 from 49.1 overs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer for India with 74 runs. Shikhar and KL Rahul added 121 runs for second wicket after India lost Rohit Sharma early. Rahul scored 47 runs. India kept on losing wickets in regular interval after losing Rahul and were allout for 258.

Australia in reply were clinical with the bat as both the openers scored unbeaten ton to guide Australia to victory line. Warner scored 128runs off 112 balls with 17 fours and 3 sixes. Finch finished on unbeaten 110 from 114 balls which included 13 fours and 2 sixes.
